Oi there boy, where ya to?

September 30, 2009

So… I’m not even going to check when the last time I blogged was…

I had a blast the last 2 weeks travelling around Germany, Austria and Italy and there are SO many images I am going to share with you VERY soon! For now, I wanted to to give you all a taste of the next blog posts coming up in the days to come.

I hope you can feel these images.

For those of you that don’t know the story behind this image yet (below), I can’t WAIT to tell you!! :)

…as for the title of this blog post… I’ve been listening to Great Big Sea for the last few hours straight… I think my mind has temporarily been east-coast-transplanted ;)

Kelly + Dave : Wedding

September 2, 2009

When I got to The Brock House for Kelly and Dave’s intimate wedding I remember thinking how amazing the next few hours were going to be. I met Kelly over a year or so ago through a mutual friend of ours, Carrie (who worked on the cruise ships with Grit and I). Kelly is an extremely positive, beautiful, caring woman, that just lights up the room and all around her, and so when she had asked me to photograph her wedding I was beside myself. HOWEVER, I hadn’t met Dave yet… formally anyways. When Grit and I met up with Kelly and Dave for their Engagement Session in Queen Elizabeth Park a few months ago, I was a WEE bit nervous… Luckily, Dave is one of those guys that you can get along with instantly and immediately feel like you are best friends! We had an absolute blast shooting their esession that night, which then made me EXTREMELY excited for their wedding! Everyoen was pretty mellow and relaxed when I arrived for their wedding, but when the music came on and Kelly walked down the aisle, there was this feeling of energy and love and happiness, it was SO amazing! Everyone had a tear or two when she walked towards Dave with her father, (including yours truly, but I was fortunate to be able to hide it with a camera in front of my face lol).

Here is their wedding slideshow. We all decided that the best song would be the song Kelly walked down the aisle to. So beautiful! :)

If you would like to purchase this slideshow on DVD please email us.

Renee + Nick: Wedding

August 27, 2009

The flowers were incredible!!! Can you believe that the boquets were handpicked and created by Renee’s aunt?!?!?! AYKM??

So, check this out: Before Renee walked down the aisle Nick decided to welcome her in style, so …in typical Nick fashion, he grabbed his ‘axe’ and wailed out a killer MIND-MELTING solo that would make Van Halen cower! We had bass, drums, EVERYTHING…  the crowd LOVED it!!! …I always said that my clients ROCK!  :)

The church was SO hot inside that the rings were a LITTLE tight… however, after a little coaxing everything was great and a high five was in order!  ;)

Fierceness!

Fave #1!

Fave #2!

Special thanks again to Nick Beaulieu (different Nick than the groom!) for second shooting with me!

Update: I have added their beautiful Slideshow! Comments welcome! :)

LOVE this dress shot! :)

Joanna’s Mom seeing her for the first time in her dress!

Favorite! (one of them) :)

Hello Ladies! ;)

Richard and the other Gents! (and Best….Lady) ;)

FAVORITE (another one of them) ;)

Pretty dapper, DUUUDE ;)

(below) I keep coming back to this photo and getting a whole new feeling for it every time! There’s just something about it that is so powerful and yet has such an ‘old time’ feel to it. Love it! :)

Hi, so um ya… Tyra called, she wants her FIERCE back.

Note:  I have to give props to my my amazing 2nd photographer Nick Beaulieu. The next 4 shots were all done by him. I absolutely love these dance photos! Good on ya, Nick! :)

I really could have gone on forever posting individual photos (and I kind of have, its getting late lol) so instead I am posting their slideshow up as well. Yellow themed wedding? The slideshow song: “Yellow”. Naturally. :)

Brian + Shanda: Wedding

July 24, 2009

Grit and I had an amazing time with Brian and Shanda on their wedding day! First of all because it was Brian + Shanda (and they are awesome. Period.), secondly because everyone attending was SO nice and treated us like family, and last but certainly not least because the wedding was at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort, which if you have read my blog at all you probably know that its my favorite venue…EVER!

Brian and Shanda you are an amazing couple, you have a very special place in my heart, I am very honored to call you friends.
