What's in my Gear Bag: Cameras and lenses.

Favorite Movies include: 'Love Actually', 'High Fidelity', 'The Maltese Falcon', 'Labyrinth' (old school! Lol), 'Willow', 'The Princess Bride'.

Favorite Music includes: The Watchmen, The Trews, Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and...if the time is right, yes, even some country. Shhh, don't tell.

General Likes: A night at home with the family, roadtrips with no schedule or specific destination, italian food, seeing/hearing someone laughing to the point of tears.

General Dislikes: Mushrooms, Animals in clothing, and People who overuse the word EPIC. Other than that I'm pretty chill.

Random Facts about me: I have played guitar for 14 years, I have a tendency to laugh when things are funny, I can eat pizza any time of day - even when I am full, I once sneezed in front of Halle Barry on the set of X-men 3 and she said "Bless You.", I worked on cruise ships as a photographer for 2 years (thats how I met my fiance, she was a hairstylist in the spa!), I can sit and watch the ocean for hours on end, I'm pretty good with voices and accents, I have a fairly decent sense of movie/music trivia...we should play some time! :)

Oh ya, and I'm a daddy. Its pretty....Epic. :)

2011 BC Wedding Awards – Best Wedding Group Photograph

This past Wednesday night I won “Best Wedding Group Photograph” at the 2011 BC Wedding Awards and I still have a permagrin on my face! :) I am sure you all know the ridiculous amount of talented wedding photographers there are in BC, so having won an award is truly something I am deeply honored by and will cherish forever. I am inspired and blown away on a daily basis by these amazing people, and I am so very thankful I can call even a handful of them my friends.

Special thanks to the people behind the BC Wedding Awards (whom there is much too many to name, but you know who you are), the lovely Carrie + Ryan + gang (the lovely people in the winning photograph. Thank you a million times over for having me be a part of your day), and to John Bello for not only being an amazing assistant and sidekick to an amazing wedding season, but also for being my ‘date’ for the awards, videotaping me strutting up to get my award (while all along telling myself ‘dont trip dont trip dont trip!), but most importantly for telling everyone that if I won an award you would eat 4 big macs in one sitting. Best of luck, buddy! :)
EDIT: Reading this over, I realized this last sentence kinda makes John sound like a bit of an ass. Truth is, he just really loves cheeseburgers. :)
